Teaspoon of Vanilla EXTRACT…
2 tablespoons of fine Sugar…
I keep a jar of Vanilla Sugar in the cupboard…
Vanilla pods are expensive… so, after I use one, I put the deseeded pod in a jar of regular Sugar…
Hay, presto… VANILLA SUGAR!!
Whisk up with a fork again…
Bread made with eggs is what I want here… Challah bread or as here Brioche…
Soak the Bread in the eggy mixture…
Remembering to turn it…
I have a Crêpe pan WHICH I LOOOOVE… this is what I use here…
I melt a knob of Butter… add a drop of Oil in the pan…
When the Butter’s frothing… get the saturated slice into the hot pan…
Turn down the heat to a medium low… you don’t want the sugars to burn and the inside of the Bread not to cook through!!
