So the dough is proofing in a warm place under a tea towel…
After an hour the dough will double in size!!
Now scoop out the dough again back onto a nicely floured surface…
And divide it up into however many things you are going to make… we split ours into thirds…
Then knead each item 10 more times…
So 10 times for the loaf
10 times for EACH bread roll
and the dough of the plait 10 times…
Sort of pulling the 3 strands needed for the plait into a sausage shape as you go!!

One third becomes a classic loaf…
We just spray the inside of the loaf tin with an Olive Oil spray to prevent it from sticking…
We make some dinner rolls, some flat sandwich pats…
and a plait!!
Jean forks each bread shape except the plait!!
Lay them all out on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper
and again cover with a dry cloth to prove… this time for 20 minutes!!
Then into the oven on 425
20/25 mins for the rolls
35/40 mins for the loaf and plait…
Or until you can pick up the plait and knock the bottom… if it sounds hollow
IT’S DONE … YAYYY!!!
If not, pop it back in for 5 minutes or so!!
WOW…
FLOUR WATER YEAST SALT AND SUGAR!!!
Glaze the top with a stick of butter as they come out of the oven… this will give a nice shine to your beautiful
