- 6 Potatoes peeled and chopped
- 1 can of Baked Beans (optional)
- 3 oz grated Cheese (optional)
- A sprinkling more Cheese for the top
- Bunch of Parsley
- 1 Tomato
- ½ cup heavy whipping Cream
- 2 tablespoons unsalted European Butter
- Salt and Pepper
- Preheat oven to 400
- Put the Ground Beef in an oven proof dish
- Add half a cup of Water
- Bake in the oven uncovered for 30 minutes at 400
- Make the Mashed Potatoes for the top.
- Bring the Potatoes up to a boil then turn down to a simmer... cook for a good 40 to 50 minutes until tender
- Timing will depend on the size of the Potato chunks
- Mince the Parsley stalks
- Take the Beef out after 30 minutes, stir and add Parsley stalks, Salt and Pepper
- Add some more flavor with a Steak Sauce you love or some leftover Beef Gravy you might have lurking around... you could add Ox Cubes or Beef Boullion
- Another good stir, then back in the oven for another 30 minutes
- Make the Mash
- Drain the Spuds
- Mash with Cream and Butter
- Using either elbow grease or a Moulee... I ALWAYS opt for the EASY OPTION
- Add the Cheese to the Potatoes
- Rescue the Beef from the oven add the Beans if using... mix well
- Top with the Mash
- Add a little more Cheese on top of you have some
- Dress with a sliced tomato if feeling creative
- Bake at 350 for 30 minutes if everything's still hot... if you made in advance add 15 minutes
